Original screenplays, short films, feature development and commissioned screen work. Concepts, treatments, scripts and rewrites. I direct existing scripts as well as my own, with close attention to performance, subtext and atmosphere.

Share your brief ↗A personal approach
I’m drawn to the tension between what people say and what they cannot quite say. The hesitation, the gesture, the attempt to connect. Often, humour appears exactly where things become uncomfortable.
Preparation creates the freedom to discover. I work closely with actors and the creative team to understand the emotional core of a scene, then shape its rhythm, movement and visual language.
I want a set or rehearsal room where people feel safe enough to try something, surprise one another and take the work further. A clear vision—and room to play.
Writing & story development
A first idea, a treatment, a screenplay or a draft that needs a fresh perspective. I work on character, stakes, structure, dialogue and the emotional logic that holds a story together.
For writers developing their own work, Jacobs & Herzberg offers story coaching and exploration. For commissioned writing, we can discuss the brief, the process and the role you need me to take.
