Barcelona indie award for best director

Here’s the exciting news: Iris Jacobs wins Best Female Director at the Barcelona Indie Awards 2025 The 2025 Barcelona Indie Awards held their live screening and ceremony on February 8th in Barcelona. Among the honorees, Conclave Clandestine, a contemporary dance film starring Anna Soler Canet and Marc Comellas, directed by Iris Jacobs, earned the award for Best Female Director. .
MADRiLONIKA LAB 'Calma tensa' DIRECTED BY MAJO CORDONET

During the high summer season of 2025, Iris Jacobs was fortunate to perform at two wonderful theaters in Madrid: La Valiente and ! Iris had the privilege to play Ivana, an autistic woman, in “Calma Tensa,” a piece written and directed by Majo Cordonet with Madrilonika Lab. Throughout the performances on July 4, 5, and 6, she learned so much from the process and the incredible energy of the audiences. They responded with great enthusiasm to this intense, moving, and emotional piece of physical theatre. It was a deeply enriching experience for all involved and one that stayed with us long after the final curtain. A new theatre family is born, more to come!

And last but not least! Iris Jacobs’ collage art has been accepted by Saatchi Art and Turning Art; two leading online platforms for contemporary artists. Her original works will soon be available for purchase through both galleries, marking a new chapter in her multidisciplinary practice.
