“Lockdown Limbo” is a hauntingly evocative contemporary dance film conceived during the protracted confinement in Spain amid the pandemic lockdown. Through the lens of isolation, Studio Iris Jacobs delves into the paradox of time standing still while the body remains in motion. Thanks to the amazing talents we managed to connect on a deeper level, and co-create. (credits in titles)

Utilizing Skype recordings, a poignant original soundtrack made by Julius Jongsma, and direction exclusively through a screen, the film captures the surreal experience of “frozen time.” Dancers navigate the eerie stillness of their surroundings, embodying the tension between stasis and movement, ultimately portraying a visceral response to an unprecedented era of suspended reality.
