“Lockdown Limbo” emerged during a surreal chapter of stillness—conceived in the quiet strangeness of Spain’s extended lockdown. As time blurred and days folded into one another, we turned to movement to make sense of the weightless, waiting feeling we all shared.
Set to the haunting soundscape of Kate Bush ‘Cloudbusting’, the piece began as a raw recording—a spontaneous response to isolation through dance. Later, artist Julius Jongsma reimagined the footage, layering it with new musical meaning, breathing a second life into the work.
This film became a shared gesture between artists at a distance—a quiet collaboration shaped by uncertainty, intuition, and the need to move, even when the world had stopped.
